We’re looking to employ a new contractor to take on the next 7 years of cyclical painting. The new contractor will be:
- Painting/Cleaning the outsides of your property.
- Painting the internal communal areas of all our blocks of flats.
- Potentially upgrading the roofline (which may include new guttering and down pipes, new soffits and/or fascias) depending on their age and condition.
Carrying out these works will expand the lifespan of the building, by protecting the property from the weather and reducing repair costs making your homes a safer and more enjoyable place to live.
As the first stage of the consultation, this message is to notify you of our plans in accordance with Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 (as amended by the Common and Leasehold Reform Act 2002). You are legally entitled to be consulted on matters like this when we intend to carry out qualifying works (like painting) that are likely to cost over £250 per property.
Due to estimated cost and length of contract we will be conducting a formal tender process to find a new contractor to deliver these works. We’re aiming to start this process on Monday 5th July.
If you have any comments on this process or a suggestion on which contractor we use, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or write to 12 Sheep Street, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire NN8 1BL within 30 days of this notice, if you are sending a letter please ensure I receive this by Friday 2nd July 2021.
