Over £400,000 to spend on the Hemmingwell estate!

Last week we had some fantastic news that the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, Stephen Mold, had been awarded £432,000 from the Home Office’s Safer Streets initiative to spend on the Hemmingwell.

The funding will be used in a major scheme to make hundreds of homes on the Hemmingwell estate in Wellingborough more secure.

The Hemmingwell Safer Streets scheme will enhance CCTV on the estate, provide new front doors to make properties less vulnerable as well as financing environmental improvements and landscaping. We will also be adding additional funding to this project to help improve the estate.

This project will be starting in summer and will be completed by the end of March 2022.

Head of Employee Engagement & Communications at Greatwell Homes, Ben Wilesmith said: “I’m delighted that we will be working with the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner to make the Hemmingwell Estate safer.

“The project will make a real improvement to people’s lives and reinforces Greatwell Homes’ commitment to providing high quality living environments for our customers.”

We will keep you updated throughout the project!
