Coronavirus: What’s happening with repairs?

Last updated: 5th January 2021

Throughout the lockdown, we are still carrying out repairs but we currently have less resources than usual and will always prioritise emergencies. We’d like to kindly ask that you consider if your repair is necessary at this time and whether it could be booked at a later stage. We have some handy DIY videos that may be able to help with your issue here. We’d like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

We know that maintaining your home and dealing with repairs is one of the most important things to you so that’s why we have set out below the latest progress on our current repairs service and when we are likely to open bookings for certain jobs.

What repairs are currently open for bookings?

Roofing repairs – including works to guttering

Drainage repairs, such as blocked drainage and sewage systems

Electrical works such as extractor fans, sockets, light fittings and switches

Plumbing works such as dripping taps, leaks and issues with toilets

Ground works such as fencing – however, please note that we are still experiencing a national shortage of materials so the lead time may be longer than previously.

Carpentry works such as internal and front doors, kitchen cupboards and floor boards.

You can do this via your online account.

When will we be taking repair requests for other jobs?

Please note that these are subject to change and depend on a number of aspects such as Government and Local Authority advice.

Plastering works – we currently have a large backlog of plastering jobs and there is also a national shortage of plastering material. This means that we are not able to open new requests for plastering jobs for the time being.

Plastering works include cracks over the size of a one pound coin and ceilings.

Keeping you informed…

We will keep this page updated with any further news on the progress of repairs. We will also be posting updates on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
