Communal cleaning and grounds maintenance – changes to how we receive your feedback

Date

At Greatwell Homes, we know it’s important to keep all communal areas clean and well maintained – this includes inside and outside of communal blocks.

In September we reported a three per cent increase in satisfaction in the overall estates maintenance service from the previous year. We want to keep on building on satisfaction rates and are now seeking honest feedback from those living in our communal blocks and those sharing a communal garden.

In November, you will start to see new posters placed around the blocks asking if we’re keeping your communal areas clean and well-maintained which include two QR codes which take you to a survey; one for grounds maintenance and the other for cleaning of communal areas. We encourage you to give us feedback – good or bad – so we can understand our strengths and areas where we can improve.

We have also introduced a new cleaning log so you can clearly see how often your block has been cleaned.

What you can expect from our communal cleaning and maintenance services

Trees

We inspect our trees a maximum of every five years. Any works are carried out to national standards set by the Arboricultural Association – ensuring quality and care.

Cleaning

Our general needs cleaning consists of visits every 4-5 weeks, this service includes: sweeping/mopping, wiping down surfaces and cleaning internal reachable windows.

Our Independent Living Services receive the same service, but this is offered three times per week.

Ground maintenance

Our ground maintenance service is based on a 4-5 week rota aimed :

  • A minimum of eight grass cuts per year
  • Bushed and shrubs pruned twice a year
  • Weed spraying 3-4 times per year
  • Each visit includes litter picking and tidying

Any fly-tipping or graffiti we find is reported and dealt with according to our set timescales.
