How long have you been an Involved Customer at Greatwell Homes?

I became involved just after Wellingborough Homes started in 2007 after the stock transfer from Borough Council of Wellingborough. We had just had our bathroom refit and I wanted to make suggestions around the process, so I joined the Repairs Panel.

What are the greatest achievements within Customer Involvement you have been part of?

Being on the Scrutiny Panel means we’ve had involvement in many different projects throughout the years. I’ve got to say one of my greatest achievements has to be the repairs scrutiny we did. During this scrutiny we recommended that text messages should be put in place to let customers know when Operatives are on their way. We also added a school run slot [9:30 – 14:30] to help our customers who need to take their children to school.

What would you say to other customers that might want to get involved in improving their community?

Come along! We’re a friendly bunch and you can really see what a different you can make in many areas of the business! There are opportunities for everyone. From completing email surveys to being a part of the Scrutiny Panel where you can really get to know and understand policies and procedures and discuss how things could be improved!

Tell us a fun fact about you that a lot of people may not know?

My uncle was best friends with Barry Sheen and he would let us play on his motorbike.
