Why I should let you into my home during the pandemic?

We know that you want to keep you and your family as safe as possible, but there may be times over the next couple of months that we need to enter your home to ensure your home is safe and secure.

We’ve outlined why we would need to enter your home and what we’ve put in place to keep you, your families, and our Operatives safe.

Why would we want to enter your home?

We currently would only enter your home if you need a repair or if we need to undertake a gas or electrical safety check of your home. These checks are a legal obligation, that as your landlord must undertake to ensure you and your family are safe. You could be breaking your tenancy agreement if you do not let us in when we need to carry out these checks. If you’re due a safety check, we will contact you to ask you to arrange an appointment, and we urge you to do this as soon as possible.

But what have we put in place to ensure you and your family are kept safe?

All our Operatives, and the Operatives of our partners, will wear sufficient PPE, will remain socially distant, will ask you and your family to keep socially distant or go into another room and will only touch what they need to (whilst wearing gloves).

All Operatives working from Greatwell Homes are also tested on a regular basis.

We also ask that you do the things below  to ensure the safety of you and our Operatives:

  • Always remain socially distant to our Operatives.
  • Wear a face mask when opening the door, if you can.
  • Wait in another room whilst the repair/service is being taken out.
  • Book your safety checks if you’re due one – these are really important.
