On Monday 13th July 2020, we acquired 53 homes plus a community centre in Northampton from the Hyde Group (Hyde).
The customers were consulted about the proposed change of landlord earlier this year and have been provided with information about us, what services we offer as a locally based housing association, including how these are being delivered in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our Chief Executive, Jo Savage, said: “We are delighted to have received these properties and will work successfully with those living in them to provide great services and high quality living environments. These homes are part of our strategy of growth within and around Northamptonshire and will contribute towards increasing the amount of homes we own within the county”.
Gareth Dickinson, Hyde’s portfolio management director commented: “Transferring these homes enables us to invest the proceeds into key areas of our core strategy. These include delivering more new, modern, energy efficient homes and expanding in areas where Hyde already provides much needed homes and support. We are proud that we are able to transfer these homes and community centre onto Greatwell Homes, so that homes can continue to be provided in Northampton.”
