We have established our own in-house trades teams for both our occupied and vacant homes and we’re looking for motivated individuals to join us! We currently have a vacancy for a skilled groundsworker / Fencer with the right customer focus and experience of carrying out housing repair and maintenance works.

Reporting to the Voids Supervisor, you will receive most of your jobs through your PDA. In your role you will prepare the ground to be flagged alongside laying flagging, edging and kerb stones. Cementing and mortaring, you will work to line and levels, ensuring fall on flags whilst cutting flags using hand and machine tools. In addition, you will be experienced in erecting and repairing metal fences and fence gates around establishments.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have knowledge and experience of concreting (paths and steps/patio areas etc), bricklaying (walls/re-pointing/steps), fencing (timber – feather edge / panels / hit & miss, chainlink, metal handrails) drainage dig outs and repairs and also disabled access works. With previous experience of working in the Building Construction/Maintenance industry, you will be qualified to City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, Experience within social housing is also important.

You must be able to demonstrate a high level of skill along with a customer focused attitude, to deliver a high quality repairs and maintenance service to our customers across our housing stock.
