Some of you may be aware that the contractors working on our Dappletree Court have this week filed for administration, meaning that the work on the site is currently on hold.
Following this news, we have increased security of the site with 24/7 surveillance and will be doing regular safety checks on the site.
Julie Robinson, executive director at Greatwell Homes, said: “Our thoughts are with the ARJ Construction staff affected, many of whom will have been surprised as us by this news given the independent assurances and evidence of solvency very recently provided.
“As our flagship development is in the early stages of construction, we will now procure a new developer able to fulfil our original deadline of completing the build by late 2025 to minimise any impact on our pipeline and our residents.”
The build will house 57 new homes for social rent for those in later living and will be our first scheme under our new Independent Living Plus service.
