Greatwell Homes retains highest grades of regulatory judgements

Greatwell Homes are a well governed and financially strong organisation.

In December 2016, we welcomed the news that we had retained the G1/V1 rating from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) which are the highest grades in governance and viability.

For all housing providers which own a thousand social housing units or more, the HCA publish regulatory judgements of their compliance with the governance and the viability requirements in the Governance and Financial Viability Standard.

Jo Savage, Chief Executive, said: “I am extremely proud that we have achieved the G1/V1 rating yet again. This top rating recognises that Greatwell Homes is a financially stable and well run business. It also reflects the hard work and commitment of our Board, staff and involved customers and I would like to take the opportunity to thank them for their role in this achievement”.

For governance, retaining the G1 grade means we meet the governance requirements of the HCA and for viability, the V1 rating means not only do we meet the viability requirements of the HCA, but we also have the financial capacity to deal with a wide range of adverse scenarios.
