New efficient washing machines in schemes after customer feedback

Four new washing machines and four new dryers have been installed in one of our Independent Living schemes replacing less-efficient machines.

Customers made staff aware that the washing machines quickly became dirty and also takes a long time to be repaired when they break, meaning that they are often left without enough washing machines for all customers.

This month (January), four new washing machines have been installed which carry out a disinfectant wash every 20 washes in order to keep the cleanliness of the machines to a good standard. Four new dryers were also installed which are plumbed into the waste pipes meaning no need to empty the water draw, making it easier and quicker for customers to dry their clothes.

On top of this, if a machine did stop working, the management company will attend to repair it within 24 hours. However, if a fix cannot be made then, a new replacement will be provided within 72 hours.

Feedback from those living in our homes is extremely important to us and we try our best to take feedback on board in order to improve our services.
